Admission process for the July 2023 session at IGNOU is underway. IGNOU has also implemented the recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020 from this session. This provides an opportunity for specialization in four new PG Diploma courses in management. These courses include Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Operations Management. Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in any age group and any field can apply online for admission until June 30. Additionally, seven courses have been introduced in MBA through online and distance learning modes.
Seven new courses in MBA Under the National Education Policy, students can pursue online degree programs and distance learning mode for seven new courses in MBA starting from this academic session. These courses include Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management, etc. The opportunity to determine the date of the on-demand examination will be provided. These management courses will offer the facility of multiple entry-exit based on the new market demands under the National Educational Program. Within seven years, after discontinuing their studies, students will have the opportunity to resume from where they left off.
Benefits of Credit Transfer These courses offer the benefit of credit transfer under the Academic Bank of Credit. Dr. Abhilash Nayak, IGNOU’s Regional Director, stated that the July session offers the opportunity to specialize in PG Diploma in Human Resource Management, PG Diploma in Financial Management, PG Diploma in Operations Management, and PG Diploma in Marketing Management in the management field. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree, CA, Cost Accountancy, or CS qualification in any age group and any field are eligible for admission to these four courses. For general category candidates, a minimum of 50% marks in the bachelor’s degree is required, and for reserved category candidates, a minimum of 45% marks is necessary.
Admission for 1 lakh seats in MBA and 30,000 seats in MCA Dr. Abhilash Nayak, IGNOU’s Regional Director, said that under the distance education and online mode, AICTE has granted approval to IGNOU for admission to one lakh seats in MBA programs with specialization in five areas: Banking and Finance, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, and Operations Management. Students can take admission through distance education. In addition, students can also take admission in 300 proposed programs from IGNOU and 43 programs through online mode. SC/ST students can pursue graduation for free at IGNOU Dr. Abhilash Nayak mentioned that SC/ST category students will have free admission to B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com courses for graduation at IGNOU.
