- A manufacturer of industrial supplies developed the following model for predicting the number of sales per month
Y = 41 + .3X1 + .05X2 – 7X3 + 10X4
where Y = Sales per month
X1= Number of manufacturing firms’
X2 = Number of wholesale and retail firms
