1. Explain the role of education in defining women’s agency. Examine International and National efforts towards gender equality in education.

2. What are Self Help Groups? Explain how access to economic resources enhances women’s development with the help of suitable examples drawn from the case studies of Self-Help Groups.

Section B

3. Examine the Scope of Non-Governmental Organizations in contemporary India.

4. Explain the rural-urban divide with suitable demographic indicators.

5. “Environment and Water are closely associated with Women”’- Justify your answers with suitable examples.

6. What is Social Infrastructure? Explain its role in women’s development.

7. Write short notes on the following:

i) Civil Society Organization

ii) Gender Mainstreaming

iii) Feminization of Poverty

iv) Unorganized Sector
